About - Seung Won Baek

About

Seung Won Baek (b. 1998, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea) is a photographer whose work explores the intersection of introspection and shared human experience. Utilizing the medium of photography as a powerful tool for reflection, Baek translates continuous internal dialogue into visual narratives that resonate universally.

After beginning his artistic journey at the San Francisco Art Institute in 2018, Baek refined his craft and vision, culminating in his transfer to the Rhode Island School of Design in 2023 to pursue a BFA in Photography. His work is deeply rooted in a desire to bridge the personal and the collective, transforming fleeting moments into enduring imagery.

Through his lens, Baek captures the quiet, often overlooked nuances of daily life, inviting viewers into a contemplative dialogue that transcends cultural and temporal boundaries.
